The ESI Nendaz-Siviez, is....

A small ski school with a family-friendly atmosphere and a huge warm welcome. We have been in business since 1998, and have acquired an experience that guarantees quality for our customer.

Our view is that teaching is above all about people. We keep our groups small so that you and your children get the time and attention you need.

Our instructors, some of whom are local and some of whom come from further away, are all trained in-house and/or by Jeunesse et Sport and/or by Swiss Snowsports. They have been with us for many years and love what they do – and together, they are an amazing team that’s skilled, flexible and multi-lingual.

Julie and Tania are the ski school’s co-directors, and they run an organisation that’s proactive and well-established – and we are, of course, always available to discuss your needs.

Many of our instructors were once our students!

Are you at a good level, and keen for your lessons to be a springboard to finding out what being a ski instructor involves?

The programme includes training focussed on the basics of:
- Techniques: improving and understanding aptitudes on the equipment
- Methodologies: learning to pass them on
- Pedagogical techniques: through different teaching methods
You’ll also get the chance to improve your knowledge in different domains, get more confidence, and also push and exceed your boundaries - along with the motivation of progressing as a group.

For children aged 2.5 to 4, we run ski lessons as long as there are 2 learners. Mini-groups have a maximum capacity of 3 to 4 students...

We usually go straight to the Tortin chairlift with these learners. This teaching method gives the learner the opportunity to ‘go for a walk’ on their skis. The learning is quick and optimal, depending on each person’s capacity, and takes place on the squirrel and rabbit trail. It is essentially a teaching, methodological and technical pathway with educational panels for illustration.

“PARENT/CHILD”: You are welcome to ask us about the option to come with your child. Everything that the instructor does in their teaching can be tailored by you to suit your child, drawing on the interactions and habits that you have with the child on a day-to-day basis.

MINI-GROUPS for 2 to 6 learners (8 for the most advanced levels)

We evaluate every child as they make their first descent, and then make some quick changes if necessary. Each student’s progress is taken into account.
