The Massif des Bornes is less than an hour away from Annecy, here it is truly the Nordic Paradise, 
thanks to its great variety of tracks, its maintenance and its quality tracks. You can take advantage of the 6 restaurants on the plateau to have a gourmet break and discover the local specialties.


In addition to cross-country skiing, you can also explore numerous routes on snowshoes or on foot.  

There is also a sledge run for children.

During the summer, there are a few farms where the legendary Savoyard cheeses such as Reblochon and Tomme de Savoie are made.  The Glières plateau also offers a wide range of activities during this season. 
 

History place

History place

The plateau of Glières is also known for having been a high place of resistance during the 2nd world war. It shelters a monument in homage to the resistance fighters. It is an enormous sculpture by the artist Emile Gilioli dating from 1973, which pays tribute to the action of the Glières maquis. A land rich in history...

The access to the plateau of Glières is not easy and it is done via 2 rather sinuous and narrow roads.
