Ski area : Cirque du Lys

Ski area : Cirque du Lys

The ski area of Cauterets is called the Cirque du Lys, ranging from 1730 m to 2415 m altitude, it is accessible via a gondola from the center.  The Cirque du Lys will offer you more than 20 ski slopes on 40 km, at the top of the slopes you will be able to enjoy a breathtaking panorama on the whole Pyrenees and in particular the mythical summit of Vignemale (3298 m)
For freestylers, the area offers three zones for all levels, including the beautiful Oakley Cauterets Park snowpark with a variety of modules to send big airs. 


Special areas for beginners are available at the exit of the gondola including kindergartens, for the more experienced skiers, the sectors of Touyarolles and Combe du Barbat will offer you beautiful and long runs. 

For the powder addicts, the cirque will also give you access to beautiful virgin spaces with often a nice quantity of snow.

Also not to be missed is the Nordic area of the Pont d'Espagne with more than 36 km of cross-country ski trails and also some downhill ski trails for beginners.  


The Pont d'Espagne is only 7 km from the town of Cauterets in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park at an altitude of 1500 m. Its natural and wild side, will take you to stroll along its tumultuous river Gave du Marcadau.
